Behind Closed Doors!

Hi everyone! Now that a lot of us are stay at homes I have a journal page that just evolved by looking in one of my scrap boxes!

Anyone who has either bought something at a craft show from Crafty Individuals or on line may have a series of post cards that come in your package!
I have collected lots over the years so decided to use this one.

I used a page in one of my larger journals and stamped a background with my favourite Crafty Individuals background stamp using several different colour greens.
I cut off part of the card and then added some of my own made tape and some ribbon. The tree was part of some biscuit packaging and I cut around it -I think it works.I stamped some text a few times to fill it in! I chose two stamps from my quotes box that seemed to sum up these time we are in!

I hope everyone is keeping well and busy.
We are building an exercise session into our day which started with great hilarity - it just doesn't seem normal - we'll get used to it...or seize up!

I am entering at Art Journal Journey and Eileen's theme -'Green'

Thanks for looking, Chris

  2. LOVE that door - AND the tree! Super creative, Chris. Looks as if you're putting your extended free time to good use. I really must spend more time in my craft room, creating rather than reorganising!

Please take care and be good...shame I won't see you at Port Sunny this time, but maybe we'll make the next one, later in the year.

  3. Gorgeous page, Chris! The sentiments are just right for the times. I love that door and how you colored it.

Thank you for sharing it at Art Journal Journey and for all your support of my theme this month.

    Stay safe and well.

  4. This is a cool page Chris. That tree really pops off the page. It is really gold/yellow and I like that. And it works so well with that pretty door. Good vibes only is a great view right now. Enjoy that exercise routine. We all need to keep moving somehow lately. Thanks for joining us at AJJ. And take care. Hugs-Erika

  7. Loe the door and the tree - I keep thinking about the biscuits it came from (the tree) an still am no nearer coming to a conclusion - but it works - and so well.
Bet you two are missing your visits to the various places of interest you show us, you will have to do some baking and give us one or two shots of hubby in Chris's Cafe with his bun and mug of coffee.
Take care, see you when all of this is over I hope
    Hugs, Neet xx

  8. Lovely page Chris! I've started an exercise routine every morning, and also some gardening in my isolation. I'm not a gardener normally, but I'm learning. A new hobby may be born out of this terrible time 😊
    Keep well,

  10. Its a fabulous journal page Chris and a good way to use the card, I have a few stored somewhere, I'd need more than a few days to find them. The exercise issue is getting to us all and good for you to be adding a routine into your day.
    Take care and stay safe.

  13. You are the queen of stamping AND the queen of fussy cutting. That tree turned out great. I thing this entire spread is wonderful and you picked a great card to use during these times of isolation. Thanks for sharing this with us at Art Journal Journey using Eileen's theme, dear.

Sounds like the laughing is more fun than the exercising. Good for you and T. The family who exercises together will need to see the chiropractor together (JOKE).

  14. Ooh, I love that doorway - it's so enticing, especially with the tendrils of the vine twining up and around it. Definitely good vibes, and a great idea to keep moving!
