Having battled to spend some vouchers in M and S today (there wasn't much on the shelves and racks - I think everyone seemed to have 20% off vouchers)I have had very little time to play but just needed to do something!!!
First of all I made this for Art Journal Journey! Well, strictly I finished it off, having got some bits and pieces together before taking our friend away for a few days at our caravan. It is for Eileen's Dreams or Wishes and sometimes I wish time would go more slowly - as do my serious looking Paper doll couple who went off to Paris for a few days but before they knew it they were on their way home again!
I had a background already made with some mop up paint - some spattered around! The tall buildings are from a breadstick wrapper and the shiny circle is from a leftover scrap of some Seth Apter stamping I had used for a birthday card. Of course the ticket is one of mine from a trip! The star scrap is from a French magazine and I added some stamping using a MFT stamp set.
I have also made a little page for Moo Mania and more - Count Your Blessings.
Of course returning from a trip does have it's good side too!
I used a brayer clean up page and another piece of brayer clean paper has the houses stamped on to it! I added a little colour with metallic pens. I drew in the stick man.
The sun has become heart shaped ...
...and a little bit of smudged ink on the E has little golden heart added too!
Thanks for looking, Chris
Two wonderful pages, Chris. Thank you for sharing your "Time Flies" (when you visit Paris) page with us at Art Journal Journey. I can only imagine (or dream about it). Eileen xx
ReplyDeletefab pages!
ReplyDeleteBoth pages are incredible. I was very surprised that you actually messed up on stamping. NOT YOU, the stamping queen. But I love the two hearts and they do make it feel like home, too.
ReplyDeleteYour Art Journal Journey entry is amazing. I say that because I love that you recycled so much in this one. And recycling is GOOD. Thanks for sharing this with us at Art Journal Journey using Eileen's theme.
I can tell you had fun playing Chris. These are super pages. I really love the heart shaped sun. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteTwo lovely pages... I really like how the first one gathers all its elements from various sources and then all works together so well to tell the travellers' story. Fab embossing on that disc. I also love the little houses on the second page and those wonderful bold botanical shapes in the vivid green background. There's a happy feeling to the fresh colours which is perfect for the words.
