I don't seem to have much time for my journal at the moment but following a visit with friends to Happy Stampers yesterday I have made a very quick page before we head off this afternoon to Northumberland, we are staying overnight at our caravan and taking our time with a few stop offs on the way tomorrow!
I didn't take one photo yesterday, too busy watching demos, chatting with friends, lovely to see Cath, Neet and Chris(wish I had swapped phone numbers Chris, next time maybe?)and trying to find items that were on my shopping list. I did manage to find all the paints I wanted and finally with Helen's help found the embossing powder I was looking for! Of course, I had a good browse through the stamp stands and one or two stamps did make their way home with me!
Two of my favourites are shown here.
Lavinia Stamps curly ferns and hares with some Woodware fully grown ferns in the background. The quote is a French Denim one.
The background paint are some of the Amsterdam ones I bought in Paris!
I am joining in at

ReplyDeleteBusy, busy, even the hares are busy 😊 or are they playing?
ReplyDeleteA while ago I wanted to buy this stamp too but it was sold. Now I have two rabbits. They are cute too.
Love the green background.
Have a nice sunday!
I feel like I have been too busy as well-so no work being done my journal. I love this page you have created-would be a great one to frame

I never got the hang of stamping without smearing. I had some back in the day, but none so adorable as those hares :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good time at the show Chris, hopefully I'll get to the one in October.
ReplyDeleteLove the new stamps and the journal page.
Have a great time in Northumberland.

I was out and about all day yesterday and much of today, and took very few photos, although I had my camera with me at all times. I LOVE those hares, and those ferns remind me of photos Helen took at Kew. Thanks for taking time to share this with us at Art Journal Journey.
ReplyDeleteOOh, I missed those hares... but I spent way too much without those!
ReplyDeleteGreat page - have a lovely time in Northumberland - have tea in a treehouse and think of me, lol. LOVELY to see you yesterday - really lovely!

Sounds like a very fun day out for sure! Just seeing those stamped imaged meant you must have had a good little or maybe big shop. I love a good shop! Hope the trip to your caravan is good and you have some nice stops on the way home. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThat's a gorgeous page, Chris! Love those hares, and the ferns. The ferns around where I live are at the curly stage just now. I always think they look a bit other-worldly until they have opened right out, and you have certainly captured that atmosphere here. Thanks for joining us at Stamping Sensations this month.
