It could well be on it's way now...the snow around here has almost disappeared - the odd bits that left are the remains of swept away piles and melting snowmen!
I am joining In at Art Journal Journey with this 'Spring' page which is Rosie's theme this month.
I am also joining in at Paper Artsy's Watercolour theme with my distress oxides and distress inks that have been splashed with water to remove some of the colour!
I added some stencilling, stamping using a Paper Artsy Hot Picks (1602) and some marks made with a faux credit card. The quote is a Lin Brown one.
As the back of this page has some very heavy texture on it I had to stamp the quote and part of the flower stamp on to deli paper and add it with gel medium.
Thanks for looking, Chrisx
Beautiful spring page, love the delicate colours. The snow melted today, was able to go for a nice, long - if rather muddy - walk. It's zoomed up to 11° today, wonder how long it will last?! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeletethe snow was disappearing fast whilst I was at Kew yesterday, so I hope spring is coming properly this time!! great page - missed the deadline for this one now!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful Chris! Fabulous use of the stamps and your splashed background is amazing!
ReplyDeleteHappy start of the new week for you ahead and so pleased to see another fantastic page of you for spring linked to Rosie's topic!
Much appreciated!

Great page.
ReplyDeleteGoodness, dear Chris. Once again, I am in AWE of your stamping abilities. Your quote is perfect, and the colors are beautiful, too. I am simply delighted to read you are sharing it with Art Journal Journey, too.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, Chris. Love those stamps and no, I don't have them...yet :-)
ReplyDeleteThe thaw began yesterday here - less snow than most people here, I think - and it's rained most of today. I prefer snow to rain any day, lol - at least it's often sunny when it snows!
Have a good week. Cath x
Beautiful pages! I love the way you have blended the inks and oxides and those stamp images are amazing ๐. We've had rain most of today so it must be warming up ...lol ๐. Wishing you a happy new week! J ๐
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous page Chris, I love the stamps you used on that great background.
ReplyDeleteStill snow here, but a thaw is promised for tomorrow.

Wonderful page for your journal Chris, the colours are really eye catching too. Hugs Rita xxx
ReplyDeleteCool background-it looks tie-dyed- the colors and dots are perfect and then adding all the black stamped images looks really good. (on the background). Hugs-Erika
