Cats....but what was I thinking?!

Yesterday I thought I had completed my calendar pages for January and had a new spread ready for February....or did I?
Well, yes and no!
Here is my completed January spread...and here is what I had ready for February..
...yes...January again!! I blame the dull weather and the snow showers yesterday!
Even so I didn't notice, and when I saw Rike's choice of theme - 'Animals from A to Z' at Art Journal Journey I added some cats, BUT I still didn't notice the month was wrong.
I didn't realise until after dark when I got around to putting the photos onto my computer - what do to?
As you can see I have a very bright 'February' I added it with my Print shop program and tomorrow I will print it, cut it out and stick it in place!
I hope I have given you giggle on this first day of February - I'm sure it will be over before we know it, as I can't believe how quickly January has gone!

Thanks for looking, Chris

  1. That looks like you made a smart fix. January must have been a long month for you, or else it flew and you can't believe it is February all ready. I do love the cats that you added. They work great! Happy new month. Hugs-Erika

  5. Once again, your calendar pages put mine to shame, even when you didn't realize the month was wrong. Like how brilliant your mind works, you found the perfect solution to the problem and a great way to cover up your boo boo.

Your January was so full, too. You lead such an interesting and full life. I love reading about it, too. Thanks for sharing your calendar pages and most of all, thanks for joining us at Art Journal Journey.

  6. This really brought a smile on my face, yes, how quickly a month runs over - but you made the best of your failure and now "February" brightens your wonderful calendar page!
I love your cute cats AND your exquisite rabbits (on January)!
Thank you so much for linking this funny entry to Art Journal Journey!

  7. This failure you made shows just that hours do not strike for a happy crafter and artist! The same often happens to me as well - I am almost always confused with the date.--lol!
Your new calender spread turned out wonderful and easy to fix the little mistake . Great idea to bring the cats into play - they fit excellent and you made us happy to see the idea and spread
at AJJ ♥♥♥ The soft colours are so beautiful here!! You are such a talent with stamps and layers always!

  9. HAHA, I think we've all been there Chris! A couple of weeks ago I decided to make a couple of baby cards to put on my Etsy shop. I got the entire cards finished and when I went to decorate the insides, I realized I had glued both of the cards onto the backing UPSIDE DOWN!!! I had to rip both cards completely apart and redo the backings!! I still haven't gotten around to finishing the fix up and photographing them. DOH!!! Hope all is well, happy February! hugs :)

  15. The sparkly "February" looks just right and just proves the saying that a mistake is a design opportunity. I do like the cats marching in.
