Another funky card

I have been having fun with tag 7 of the 12 tags of Christmas - Funkie Junkie Style! The Funkie Junkie Boutique is sponsoring this challenge and there are prizes on offer from lovely Linda Coughlin.
I was struggling to think of how to make a background here until I thought of using two shades of green on a blue background card using the harlequin stencil.
I loved how Linda's card looked but had none of the items other than the ribbon that she had used! I made a frame using an old bread wrapper and added some fancy paper stamped with a freebie quote.
I stamped a poinsettia 3 times with blue ink and fussy cut it and decided to simplify Linda's design and  change it around a bit! My flower layered up and mounted in the corner on some leftover waxed paper leaves that had prevented my paper from getting stuck.
I am not good with tying bows so this is as fancy as it gets!

I would like to enter at Country View Crafts Challenge - Christmas

Thanks for looking, Chris

  1. I think this is fabulous. I'm impossible at tying bows, so you certainly have mine beat by a mile. I really like the design of this one, and was so happy to read you recycled a bread wrapper. Ingenious, dear friend.

  7. Ooh, that dark blue is so elegant, and the bow and the poinsettia pop with dimension beautifully.

  9. I love your blues, Chris, and your poinsettia looks beautiful! I could easily use a bow tying tutorial, as I am horrible with bows. Love your use of the recycled bread wrapper! Hugs!
