Of course this is a scheduled post and I can't even promise to return all visits today so feel free to pop in and out quickly!
I am joining Bluebeard and Elizabeth for T Stands For Tuesday and I have to ask if you would mind linking me dear Elizabeth?
Could I ask visitors here to please look for the TSFT post on Elizabeths blog as I can't link except to Elizabeth's main blog for the next few weeks
I will have written most of these words before leaving home but I am pretty sure I can add some photos (I am also copying this same set of words for next week too!)
It's most likely that as some of you read this we are fast asleep in Paris, for others we may be on a
train on our way to Carcassonne(it takes about 5 hours)
The photos were taken on our journey yesterday and of course had to include coffee!
This is on the Eurostar train to Paris and came with free twix biscuits!
Tomorrow may be another matter as the is a national strike so we are getting up early tomorrow in the hopes of changing our tickets - we have been told it is possible!
Just a few pics - too much to think about!
Our first view of Sacre Couer
Our hotel is close to the Montparnasse tower and we walked past it to find somewhere to eat this evening after calling in at the information centre at the station!
Apart from scheduled posts for Try It On Tuesday my posts during the week will consist of photos and maybe a sneaky look at my Travel Journal.I'm sure there will be a lot more photos when we get back too!
Happy T Day and….
Thanks for looking, Chris
I have no idea what is happening but the French Connection - internet , not the film, is making it quite difficult to change font etc! It may just be that I am a bit stressed at the minute!xx
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your trip!! sounds fun
ReplyDeleteHappy T Day Kathy
Heyyyy....you forgot me!!! Oh what a super marvelous trip you'll have! Will be thinking of you); Happy T day!
ReplyDeleteHad to laugh, Chris, because it isn't just the French connection changing your fonts. I've had blogger do it to me several times and couldn't get it to change, either.
ReplyDeleteI am SO, SO jealous of your riding the Eurostar through the tunnel to France. I've wanted to take that trip ever since I saw the PBS show "The Tunnel." I became fascinated with it when I saw how they shot many scenes from that show right in the tunnel itself. Of course, I had to learn more about it, and today you are experiencing it. Simply incredible. And to think, they even give you free Twix.
What's the deal with you and France. It seems every time you go, there's a train strike. This is not the first time you've had to worry about that. I hope you are able to sort it properly, because it seems to be stressing you.
How amazing to see the Sacre Couer Basilica. I look forward to lots of photos, too.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos of Sacre Couer, your views from the Eurostar, and your coffee and free Twix with us for T this Tuesday.
Have a fun time in France, enjoy your holiday. Happy T Day, Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeletehave a fabulous time and hope the trains don't delay your trip too much!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful holiday Chris. I hope you can get your travel tickets sorted.
ReplyDeleteHappy T day wishes.
Yvonne xx

So looking forward to more photos when you get home safe and sound Chris!! Love Twix! Happy T day! Hugs!deb
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous of people who live where public transportation makes owning a car unnecessary, but I'm especially jealous of folks who get to ride trains! :) What fun!
ReplyDeleteHappy T Tuesday.
I absolutely love train trips. Looks like you are off on a grand adventure. Have a great time.

ReplyDeleteI couldn't make it to tea this week, Chris, - we're traveling too! - but I just wanted to pop by and say, "hi."
ReplyDeleteWhile you were dealing with a train strike and ticket changes, we were driving up to Texas with visions of gas shortages and bad weather in our heads. So far, our trip has been great with no problems. I hope yours has been the same.
Taking the Eurostar through the tunnel to France sounds very exciting. I look forward to seeing more photos. But in the meantime, relax and enjoy it!
Hugs, Eileen
