When I arrived to pick them up Sarah offered to drive, I accepted gratefully!
We had at one time considered staying overnight in our caravan but in the end, with a shorter journey than we have taken at times elsewhere, we arrived in plenty of time to get a coffee from the famous buffet that featured in the film Brief Encounter.I have shown you photos before.
The workshop was organised by Sharon from the lovely craft shop Rowantree Crafts that I love to visit when we stay at our caravan!
Tables were set up, name tags ready and a little bag of goodies at our places!
The day went so quickly and required a lot of concentration from me(I slept so well on Saturday night!)
This is Jo's sample piece...
…and here she is showing us one of the stages
Sarah….using a paintbrush…Oh My!!!
Another big treat for me was that on the same table was Rachel Fisher…we just had to take selfies!!
We hope to meet up again soon!
Then it was off to the seaside - Morecambe where hubby had suggested that I might take them for a coffee at the Rotunda(Bless him - he texted me to suggest it during the day!)
Helen was kind and took a photo of me too!
So here I will join Bluebeard, Elizabeth and you with a Moccachino for me, a Latte for Helen and an Espresso over ice-cream for Sarah!
It all came with little packets of biscuits!
Of course we had to take a walk outside too…
If anyone has been to Morecambe over the years you will see that there is something missing in this last photo! The Polo Tower has been taken down - we think it may go back up again somewhere when the work has been done to the new shopping and eating area!
I nearly forgot to show my finished piece - which was completed yesterday morning…
Oh! and I did buy some new stamps too!!!
Thanks for looking, Chris
What a fun workshop and great pictures.

Sounds like such a great time all around! I'm not familiar with the artist but your class art is gorgeous!! Brief Encounter- yes, I'm sure I mentioned in that post my love of that movie. Would love to have been with you:) Happy T day!
ReplyDeleteI haven't taken a class for awhile and this one looks like it was fun. I always enjoy learning new techniques and other artists tricks to add to your own repertoire. You look like you had a great time. Happy T day. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a fun class and a good weekend with friends. Lovely piece you made. Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteHappy T Day Chris
ReplyDeleteYour artwork piece is amazing and great that you made it with friends and also fitted in so many other things as well.
Love Chrissie xx
what a brilliant time you had - Love Jo (her hair looks much shorter than the last time I saw her!) and of course her gorgeous stamps.
ReplyDeleteThose stamps are so popular. I knew when I saw Jo's sample you would have a fun time. After all, your middle name could be called flowers. Your piece turned out lovely. Looks like the three of you had a great time at the workshop. I've never actually taken a workshop, so you are quite lucky.
ReplyDeleteI LOVED the photos of Morecambe. It looks like a lovely place with some rather modern, yet timeless, buildings. And of course, the drinks the three of you shared sound decadent, and wonderfully caffeinated, too.
Thanks for taking us with you to the workshop and coffee in Morecambe. It was a fine outing a great T Stands For Tuesday post, too.
The photo of the sea is amazing! Well, I would love to have tea in that buffet; an all-time favourite film!
ReplyDeleteSeems you had a wonderful day!
Xx
That workshop was for sure fun and super - great photos - Thanks for sharing dear Chris!

Wow, the workshop looks fantastic and I adore the artwork you created, the colours and designs are fabulous! What a lovely day you had too with your friends, everyone looks so happy and it was nice of your hubby to think of you all and text 😀. Glad you had so much fun and thanks for sharing, I always enjoy visiting places with you. Morecambe is one of the places on my list to visit, we've never been there before so I'll be sure to keep a note of the Rotunda (coincidentally one of our friends recommended The Midland too). Wishing you a very Happy T Day! J 😊

What a beautiful result! Well done you. Isn't it great to go to a workshop in the company of friends. It's one of the things I miss when living abroad. One of those workshops for me involcçves a flight!
