I'd like to be……..

I have been itching to use this new Carabelle Studios set by Azoline that I bought on our Paris trip. I used the fish for a page in my Art Marks journal but I hadn't used the rest of the set and I do so love the little mermaid!
I used a large tag and used the TH doily stencil with Distress inks and Oxide inks.
I stamped and coloured the plants and the fish -Whoops!- Upside down! Not to worry - I stamped the mermaid onto paper and after I had added her I drew in some bubbles to link up with the fishes and a few more besides!
Now, I am not normally a glittery type, but since I have somehow over the years managed to fill a whole box with glitters and beads etc. I thought I should use some to create some texture and sparkle.
I edged the tag with Wilted Violet DI but still wasn't happy until I had mounted the tag onto a larger turquoise tag.
I added glossy accents to parts of the plants, the fish and the mermaid.

I coloured some muslin threads with Distress inks for seaweed strands.

The words come from a song in the Little Mermaid cartoon, printed out from my computer.
I would like to enter this at Simon Says Stamp Blog Monday Challenge where the theme is 'Touchy Feely'
and
for the Texture theme at Tag Tuesday

I would also like to join Mo Mania and More for the Under Water Challenge.

I would also like to enter at Mixed Media Monthly Challenge A year of Choices
I have chosen no 35 - What's Your Super Power - I have to admit that I can hardly swim - so to be a mermaid and swim underwater would be great!

Thank you all for all your good wishes - I have times when I hardly notice this darned BPV and other times(especially in bed if I turn over, or in the mornings)It seems to get better in the afternoons as long as I don't make sudden movements. I have spoken to the doctor and he says it could take some time - so I will continue with the excercises!

Thanks for looking, Chris
