T stands for ………taking a walk….

…but before I start I will show you  card I made for a friend!
Used some Paper Artsy Infusions (once again!) onto watercolour paper. While it dried I stamped Darcy's heart flowers onto smooth stamping card and coloured them with some quite ancient Tombow pens.
I masked off the small flower and stamped the stem and stamens before sticking down the flowers! A little bit of Dusty Concord DI around the edges…. The card I used was a pale pink one so I used some Picked Raspspberry DI to colour the front before mounting.

Just a little reminder that Try It On Tuesday's challenge 'Hearts and Flowers' still has another week for you to take part if you wish!

Now…our walk. As we have been spending some time at home lately we have been exploring our local area. We usually walk along by the river but hubby had been out on his own (while I was doing the BIG tidy)and found somewhere neither of us been before. We started our walk by the river and then came up to the road crossed over and went down in to a little spinney. There was a sort of stream…

Both sides from the little bridge.

The path was quite muddy in parts

There were a few benches along the way but we did not sit on them!!
We often drive along the road that is past the bollards
We could have turned here to go through to the village but chose to carry on along the path.
We had been walking on part of the Trans-Pennine trail that goes from one side of the country to the other.
Lovely signs of Spring on it's way!!
There's that road again - we were heading in the direction of home…almost…we decided on another detour!
We crossed over the road that led directly home and carried on parallel to the road before turning off and cutting through a beautiful quiet road. We will go back another day later on in Spring to show you what I think will be quite pretty!

I showed you my new planner the other week - here are another couple of pages.

My Amaryllis is almost ready to flower!
Sadly only one stem but I am looking forward to seeing it!

Finally..do I hear you say "At Last!"?
We are here for T Stands For Tuesday with Bluebeard and Elizabeth.
I'm afraid it's another shot of our coffee mugs…

...quite welcome when we got back after our walk - it took us just over an hour.

Thanks for looking, Chris

  2. I love those tea mugs! I keep looking at mugs thinking maybe I need a new one for T day. But I am also jealous of 1) you have no snow and 2) all those wonderful walking trails. Its something we don't have here in the woods where I live. We do have snow mobile trails, but they never make good walking. Happy T day. Hugs-Erika

  4. First, before I forget, that card is awesome. It is all flowers that you love so much.

I got caught up in your walk. It looks beautiful, and I was exhausted when you finally arrived home. I can see why a cup of hot coffee was needed after that. It is already a lovely place to walk. And to think you found a place so near where you live, and was able to explore it.

Thanks for sharing your floral card, your walk, and your coffee with us for T this Tuesday.

  10. Thank you for taking me on your walk. It looks like a lovely are. Isn't it fun to walk paths that you have never been on. No risk of getting lost if you keep seeing the road home through the trees.
I see the snow drops are not flowering yet. Your amaryllis is looking awesome. I love that dark red colour.

  16. What a lovely walk and some discoveries. As for me, I learned two new words, "spinney" and "bollards" as well as a bit about the Trans-Pennine trail.

Your hearts and flowers card is delightful and I love your planner pages. Maybe next year, I can find time for that. It looks a lot more fun than lists and lists of liists.

    Happy T Day! xox, Eileen

  18. Such a lovely and thoughtful card. Looking at the pictures of your walk, I was thinking how pretty the scenery will look in the Spring and Summer. I like the storage rack in your planner. I'm looking for something as a small chest of drawers I had fell apart. Thanks for the idea. And your amyrillis is such a welcome burst of color. We had sleet and frezing rain today. An usually warm break for Wed. and a foot of snow predicted for Thurs. Happy T Day!

  21. Great pictures - both craft and walking.
Came to tell you which films I watched and to say I had not heard of Manchester by the Sea and could not imagine how our Manchester related to a beach!!!
Cannot remember what I saw on the way out - oh yes, Bridget Jones Baby, Cafe Society (?) and something else.
On the way back it was Australia, loved it and cried a bit, The Girl on a Train (found it confusing but may have been me, tired) and Me Before You (unashamedly cried - got the book on Kindle on recommendation of a friend but found it slow - enjoyed the films though).

  22. What a pretty card! Looks like you had a lovely walk Chris. Feeling jealous as I've been stuck indoors this week with a stupid cold.
We got an amaryllis from my sister at Christmas, which is shooting up! No flower yet though, but at least I haven't killed it! Lol!
    Have a good day!
