I have a journal page to show you but it didn't turn out quite how I would have liked!
I started out by spritzing the page with some Infusions in a mister. I then masked off some parts, I quite liked the effect Gabrielle achieved on her page.
I stamped the rhyme from Lin Brown's ELB30 set all over the page and then removed the bits of post-it notes I had used,it was at this point that I should have put them back again and added more colour but hey ho!
I stamped a serial number from Sarah Nauman's Eclectica ESN04 in black and then the quote from JOFY25 set randomly in Red ink. I also used the edge of a credit card to add some random lines. I use the same red to stamp the ELB30 oats twice - had to mask off the bottom.
I would like this journal page to be entered in the Paper Artsy Challenge 2 - Masks
and
Art Journal Journey for Linda's choice of theme - Fifty Shades Of Red
Thanks for looking, Chris
I've scheduled this post as we are having some time at the caravan! Back soon! Chrisx
ReplyDeleteWow - the grass stems look amazing in red - a completely different look, and I love the background stamping. Hope you're safe and warm in the caravan!

ReplyDeleteChris, it's been way too long since I've visited! I love this journal page with the red weeds and background stamping and lines. The mix of black, red and white offers so much drama; I just love it!! This gorgeous page would be great for our Rock the Red challenge at Emerald Creek Dares, too! Sending warm hugs!

I like it!
ReplyDeleteThis page looks quite mystical, maybe the black writing in the background and the combination of blacks and reds, and the red grasses too, it's something different. I like it very much.
ReplyDeleteI really like this page. I forget about masking areas off so this was a great reminder. The oats in red is very dramatic and I never would have thought of it. May not have turned out you planned but it's a great page!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore your page!!! Is it just me or do I see a face in you second picture??!!
ReplyDeleteSandy xx
Great use of the colour palette, dramatic use of red is enhanced by the muted tones, and removing the masking tape half way through achieved a subtle layered look so good move! Hugs Ruth xx
