T stands for …tidy time!

If you saw the post before this one you will have some idea about what I am doing at the moment!
Today was more of the same and I have covered a rather large journal front cover with yet more scraps! I have a very bad habit of tearing illustrations from magazines or flyers of things that catch my eye and then they sit in a box covered up by even more, as well as stamped images and other bits paper leftover from projects! It had got to the point where I could no longer leave them as one box overspilled to three or four of varying sizes!
I decided that one way I would see them would be if I covered boxes(more of those on Wednesday)or journal covers - at least with some of them!
I have also started a planner (I haven't stopped making my calendar journal for what actually happened - just forgot to post before I start to fill it in!)I am not being very rigid, but I found a planner I was happy with from Muji and it has served it's purpose so far as it stays on the coffee table where I can see it every day and if I feel like doodling or sticking stuff in I can do!

We have a couple of trips already planned, and for those of you who had a guess at Paris as one of them you are correct! For once not my idea but hubby's - you may remember he was taken ill while I was at Version Scrap, the Paris craft show, although he was fine after having been taken care of by Paramedics he has suggested that I might like to try again - I may keep him with me though! It is also his birthday while we are away so I have a little treat planned for him!! (it's also someone else bEARTHday while we are away!)

Week one was an experiment as was week two and probably will find what is easier for me as I go along…

The only real outings we have had have been cinema trips the first one was a 2 for 1 day and the other was a Silver Screen day.
I loved 'A Street Cat Named Bob' as I read the book and loved it - the film did not disappoint and although some parts of the book were changed slightly or omitted it is still a delightful true story of how an animal can change someone's life. I don't know whether you will be able to see this film outside of the UK but I do hope you can!
I will 'review' 'A Monster Calls' on Wednesday when I show my (hopefully) clean desk!
As I am here for T Stands for Tuesday with Bleubeard and Elizabeth…
…...and I haven't taken any photos of any drinks I will go back to November when we went to Keswick.
As you can see hubby had afternoon tea with a cup of tea and a scone with jam AND cream, I had coffee with a toasted cheese scone.
We went to Bryson's a lovely old fashioned tea room

There was some lovely art work on the walls but the photos didn't turn out well. The scones were delicious though!

I will be back in the morning with our new theme at Try It On Tuesday.

Thanks for looking, Chrisx

  3. Even your new planner puts my ridiculously juvenile calendar to shame. You draw SO well. I know this one will put mine to shame, because it already has.

That latest journal cover is fantastic. I have been sorting and saving scraps, too. Of course, mine are not for journal covers, but for sewing paper to paper.

Thanks for sharing your scones and drinks at Bryson's with us for T this Tuesday. Somehow I knew you were headed to Paris (I even said it to myself), but had no idea it would be during bEARTHday, or T's special day.

  4. that is a good way to use up scraps! I like to leave my journals plain until they are full and as I just have so many on the go, not full I never get to decorate them... must find something else to do with my scraps! Really like this one though. Glad you're getting back to Paris and Version Scrap again!

  5. Have fun with your planner - I must admit to never planning anything, so won't be needing one, even if the rest of the world is crazy for them. The food looks sooo good, wish I could try some just now. Happy T Day,hugs, Valerie

  8. Happy T Day Chris

Pleased I guessed right with Paris and can't wait to see some photos if and when you go.

Clever you with a planner that is actually being filled in--keep up the good work.

Nice to see the Keswick tearooms--haven't been there for years even though my daughter doesn't live far away.

    Love Chrissie xx

  9. Its a fantastic planner Chris, I am not near that adventurous, I will be having difficulties with one line, never mind the space.
I will say snap as well to using up the scraps. I can only throw away some before I think..can I use this.
Thought it would be Paris, I hope this time all will go well.
Happy T Day, that scone looks very tempting.

  13. The journal cover is a great way to use some of the scraps you have saved. Your planner looks like a useful tool and with a bit of art the pages become fun to look at. A trip to Paris? Oh does that sound like fun. I visited a couple of times in years long past and have some wonderful memories. Planning is part of the fun of travel I think.

  14. I love the idea of a planner, but I have so little to plan I'd have nothing to put in it lol

    Happy T Tuesday!

  15. I have my eye on Tony's scone YUM! Looks very tempting indeed.
Very excited for you and your Paris plans.
We have some exciting plans in the works too but I haven't said anything online about it. (to be read in a whisper ;-) )
There is a lot to be said for tidying ... I always seem to find so many great bits of this and that it's not long before I have to stop clearing and PLAY!
    Happy T Day Chris oxo

  16. I really like this new collage, and such a great way to use up those bits and pieces we tend to hoard. I really need to take a lesson from you on this...LOL!!
I hear Paris in April is beautiful, and will really be looking forward to seeing LOTS of photos (please)
Yes, very good idea to take your hubby this time. As we have aged, I find I would rather have him near and know he is safe......most of the time *grin*
    Happy T-day

  17. What a lovely collage! Great way to use up all those bits and bobs you've saved.
Paris! How wonderful! I'm excited for you.
The tearoom in Kezzick looks very pretty and the scones and tea cakes look scrummy. You can wake my up in the middle of the night for a cream tea anytime!
Your planner looks fab. I try to plan and organise my day. I tend to make do-lists and never get all of it done. Ah well...
    Happy T-Day
    Have a good week,

  18. Great use of all of those bits and pieces.. I should do that too... I have the same addiction and it is totally out of control. I also have some chip board boxes that could use a face lift. It's been a while since I've had scones so I think I need to make some.

  19. I love your scrappy cover, Chris - and it's so nice to see the inside filling up as well. That's the regular-use bit I never manage with planners. They all turn in to art journals for occasional use when I have a moment. Loving this way of using up scraps and have mentally filed it for another day. Yours will always be more interesting than mine since I'm not a magazine reader/clipper - I only have craft paper scraps.
