Our new theme over at Try It On Tuesday is 'Celebrate'. Once again the Design Team have some fabulous inspirational makes for you!
Of course we are all aware of the Christmas decorations in shops reminding us of the big December celebration but I have also quite a few birthdays to celebrate (including my own). I counted up and I have made eight Birthday cards this month!
This card is one of the 4 mens cards I made.
I sometimes struggle with cards for men but this one had to be special - Bill, our friend, was 90.
I had my star dies and punches out when inspiration struck - Bill is a star!
I even had just the paper to hand too! It was ready to layer up with some card and some ribbon to attach some stars to.
The large star was just the right size to use the last two numbers from a TH die and I slightly raised them with some silicon glue.
Bill seemed pleased with his card too!
This card will easily adapt to a Christmas card with a simple greeting.
I hope that in the midst of the Christmas rush you have time to take part and celebrate with us!
Thanks for looking, Chris
Gorgeous card, not easy making men's cards, but you did this very well. Hugs, Valerie

What a wonderful masculine card Chris. I love the silver and blues together and the metallic stars are so much fun! Love the plaid backdrop, a great choice for a masculine make. hugs :)
ReplyDeleteI seem to be quite late to the party, Chris. I had NO idea your birthday was this month. So is Patty's. I only mention that because I know you two became good friends when you met in Paris.
ReplyDeleteI think your card is fabulous. It's truly a man's card and has just the right amount of embellishments. You have given a super example of celebrating.
Wow 90, what an age!!! He will love your card!
