WOYWW 389

Well, what a change from last week - the time has dragged - mainly because I have had a humdinger of a cold and of course we have been at home! The intention was that we would get all those little jobs done that we keep leaving for another day….since Saturday I have pottered around bit, done a bit(a very little bit) of crafting, slept, sneezed, coughed and watched TV! This means that the bigger jobs that should perhaps have been done by now haven't been - hubby has been a marvel - cooking, cleaning, shopping(including taking his two sisters for their weekly shop too)
The little bit of pottering I have done has got rid of a pile of leaflets etc that we have collected over the Summer on our trips and  I have been…..putting stuff away!
So here is my desk - for I am here to join deskers all over the World, all linked by the wonder of the web over at Julia's Stamping Ground. I am all set to make some Christmas cards!
The stamps are ready on the left and there are some stars, cut out a  while ago! So what is my journal doing there? Well I am going to use as a warm up, except the blank page is putting me off a bit so I may turn to one of my mop up pages in another journal.
You may also notice that my scrap box is now a neat little book style box - no more overflowing into my workspace!
The cereal box that I keep my stencils in….still looks like a cereal box, so maybe it's time for the makeover I have been promising it.
My Infusions are also easier to get at and much easier to use with
the map pins in the top of the lid.

I don't think I will make it here next week as I will be rushing around to get ready for coming to the crop - we are planning some time in the area before the event! So looking forward to this get together!

Thanks for looking, Chris

  1. Looks like you're ready to rock and roll! I know that feeling of being reluctant to jump in - I'm the queen of procrastination! I waste a load of time online during the day and before I know it, I have to start dinner for the family and after that I don't stand a chance of doing anything creative. Have fun at the crop! zsuzsa #28

  2. Hi Chris, yours is a very organised one this week and ready for action. I'm not surprised, however, that you haven't felt like doing much - I hope you start to feel much better this week.

Happy WOYWW and have a wonderful week.

  6. Hi Chris. Oh my. I have neat-desk-envy!!! mine looks like a tip I have so many things going on at once... However, these things have to be done.
Hope you have a good few days done in Wiltshire/Hampshire before the crop. I'm going down on the Friday - so will meet u again when we are there on the Saturday. We met in Manchester a couple of years ago...
Thanks for visiting. Yes, homemade soup is something pretty special isn't it?

  8. Oooh, firstly I do hope you are feeling better soon, or at least in time for your crop... Bad Colds are the WORST! Loving your newly organized desk and I have found that it really helps to get your creative juices flowing if you do something like giving your stencil cereal box a face lift! 12. Colds are a pain! I always resent the time that you have to spend not doing anything. Am loving the Scrap Box Mark 2, lol! We're really looking forward to seeing you at the Crop, there's lots of catching up to do :-)

  13. I'm with you, blank pages don't do it for me, so I often just colour some or use them to mop up for future use. When I look at a blank page I find it turns my thinking the same...... blank! blank! blank! Well enough of that Lol! Have a great woyww and happy crafty week, Angela x 16

  14. Sometimes when faced with a blank page, I close my eyes, and reach into my basket of paint, and use whatever color comes up. The best way I like to get paint on a page fast is with a credit card, drop some paint across the top and squeegee is down with the credit card. Whatever happens, usually ideas start to pop out - even if I didn't like the color I blindly chose! Good luck with your page! Thanks for sharing, Lindart #41

  15. Hi Chris. I hope you start to feel better soon. I too hate the look of a blank page. This is a throwback to even when I was in grade school. I didn't want to mess up the page!!

  19. I get the impression that once you're feeling up to it, you'll be all ready to jump in with both feet. Nothing worse than a cold to sap all your energy and motivation, is there? Feel better! ❤️ Have a great week! ~Heather~ #47
