November's page is made with a lot of Infusions and random stamping with Paper Artsy stamps from various sets!
Here is October's page all filled in
I am joining Bleubeard and Elizabeth too for Tea Stands for Tuesday and I mustn't forget young Squiggles!
On Sunday we met up with my Son, eldest Grandson and Granddaughter.
We had lunch and then went to have a walk in the park near where we used to live.
It has had a lot of lottery money spent on it to return it to it's former glory although it sparked a few rows over chopping trees down.
I looked lovely and there are lots of new paths including some that have been uncovered.
This is new!
This gate house used to be derelict and fenced off - the Park warden lives there now I think
Lots of fungi - wish I knew what was edible!!!This path was under a lot of weeds last time we visited and was fenced off
This was always my favourite part of the park. I used to take short cuts to the doctors when we lived nearby.
This old building is a college over the road from the park.
The whole area has lots of old Victorian houses - a lot of them now converted to flats
The island is full of nesting geese in the Spring - part of the path has been blocked off as it was close enough for folk to throw rubbish - it means that the geese will be safer too!
There is a cafe now, although we didn't visit this time! It seems quite busy when we walked past.
On the way out we noticed that other area had been reclaimed too and has benches in it.
Hubby and I hope to visit again before long!
Thanks for looking, Chris
really wonderful calendar pages Chris! I did those for a few years and am thinking about doing something similar again as I do miss looking back on them. Great way to begin a full day with the scone and cuppa. The park is so pretty and I LOVE Victorian houses. Glad you had a nice family visit too. Happy T day!
ReplyDeleteYour calendar pages are wonderful. I have a friend who does that too. It is such a good idea. I plan to do it in the new year to remember all the things that happened that year.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the photos of the park. It's like you have taken me through the park. I really enjoyed it. It is so beautiful in autumn colours. It is just a very beautiful park full stop. I can imagine you want to come back soon.
Happy T-Day and have a good week,
Lisca
Lovely post, gorgeous photos and those scones.......yummy! The calendar is beautiful, AS ALWAYS. Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteKudos to you keeping up with the calendar pages.
ReplyDeleteYou and Elizabeth amaze me in your diligence.
Lovely visit to the park and the swan photo speaks to me especially.
That scone looks yummy and what a cute tea pot too.
Happy T Day dear Chris and Happy November too

My favourite photo is the one with the white tree branches. It looks like silver birch???
ReplyDeleteThat scone looks delicious!
(They do really tasty cheese scones at Basildon Park, if you are ever nearby.)
Thanks for visiting my blog and thanks very much too for your comments.

ReplyDeleteI love your calendar pages Chris and the November page is absolutely gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad they redid this park - it was worth every penny! I would dearly love to live in the gate house. Such a beautiful building!!
I really enjoyed your pictures today Sweetie!

Your calendar page looks to pretty to write on.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the walk through the park with you, looks like the money was well spent. I love the older buildings and am glad they refinished them and turned them into something useful.
Happy T-day
What a lovely teapot!
ReplyDeleteIt's always a shame when trees are cut down, but the park is magnificent! What a wonderful place to walk and to watch nature.
Happy T Tuesday :)
Always love to see your calendar pages and great that you fill them in.
ReplyDeleteTerrific photographs as always and more interesting things you have found along the way
Love Chrissie xx
What a wonderful way to keep memories for the month - both spreads are gorgeous! A walk in the park is lovely this time of year and the little teapot is so pretty! Wishing you a Happy T Day! J :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the November calendar page! That is fabulous walk - loved the photos, some gorgeous colours. It sounds as if they have worked hard to make it a wonderful place to visit. I went to Kew again last weekend, where it was also stunning.
ReplyDeleteGreat Calendar pages and super photos of your walk.
ReplyDeleteThe scone looked delicious and the teapot so pretty, I could easily find a home for one like that.
Happy T day.

Great calendar pages Chris, lovely to look back upon.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos from your weekend and that looks a lovely park, great that it's been brought back to life.

I would have been here sooner, but Sally called and asked me to go to the doctor with her in case she couldn't drive home. Then it was off to vote early and shop for Sally's medical supplies and reduced Halloween candy.
ReplyDeleteI bet you thought I was avoiding you because your calendar always puts mine to shame. It's always so much nicer looking than mine, especially since I've gone to such an easy and simple way to create them this year. Again, I love seeing yours each month, too.
What a beautiful area to walk. I want one of those old Victorian houses, but, after owning one, I know how expensive the heating bills are! Of course, all your photos were wonderful, including you and T having your scones and drinks.
Thanks for sharing your coffee, your calendar, and this beautiful park with us for T this Tuesday.
I like the look of calendars Chris. You certainly know how to use your stamps to make a great background. I also loved your views of the park. Its a beauty. :) And it looks pretty big too. Happy T day.
ReplyDeleteGreat calendar page ! The park certainly looks lovely now. So nice that they were able to restore it to it's former glory. I love old Victorian houses but the need for such huge homes has fallen away and most of them have been divided up. If they save the integrity of the home I don't mind it so much but I hate when they destroy the original beauty of the building :(
ReplyDeleteLoving your Calendar pages Chris... and your photos as usual, are fantastic. xxxx
ReplyDeleteYour calendar page are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLove the park. Wish I could use your photos for a digital project as a background paper. They are fantastic!
Happy belated T-day!
