…is a little how I have felt both yesterday and today! I have the first head cold I have had in years and I think I know where I got it from - the woman in the queue behind me at the Post Office sneezed several times without covering her mouth! I don't think she knew the old saying 'Coughs and sneezes spread diseases" I suppose I have been lucky just to have the odd snuffle for the past few years!
This page is for Susi's brilliant 'No, no, no' collage challenge at Art Journal Journey
I gessoed the page and added some scraps of book paper then added ink and Distress crayons. The ships were from a magazine and the sea is from our croissant box painted with Fresco Baltic Blue and more gesso. I added some text to the background and outlined the boats with Black Stabilo all pencil which I wetted and smudged.
I am not happy with my handwritten words - I obviously need to practice more!!
I hope you are weathering your storms - whatever they may be!
Thanks for looking, Chris
Your writing looks fine. The page is lovely, thanks for joining us again at AJJ, and hope that cold goes away quickly! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI think that your writing is very good as is the whole page- I am in love with the colours and depth. It looks all so real and poetic! The Stabilo in black always is a great tool for bringing out the motifs! Well done here again!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get well soon - nobody needs head colds!!
Thanks a lot for all your super pages this month Chris!
Hope we will meet tomorrow again at the T-Party!
Happy start of the week !

ReplyDeleteWonderful collage art Chris! So many super pieces of art with this theme at AJJ this month. Sorry to hear you're under the weather. Sometimes hot tea with a shot of brandy does the trick:)
ReplyDeleteI wish you felt better. I forgot to say something yesterday. This is brilliant, and I like how you recycled both magazine images and a croissant box. It's truly lovely. Now get better or I'll send you a picture of a frog!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful page and I think it is great that you did your own writing..no need to practice it looks just right
