Last week we were away at our caravan and Thursday morning we went up to Kendal, about a 25 minute drive and we managed to get free parking by the river(which last time we saw it was a raging torrent)
We are here for a drink at Elizabeth's but….my post this week doesn't have a drink in it as I forgot to take a photo of the drink and the food we had - there was a mix up and we didn't get what we wanted which totally put it out of my mind!
The place we went to though, was Farrers, a company established in Kendal in 1819. They supply coffee and tea to many cafes and restaurants as well as their own tea rooms.
Coffee first - of course! They serve some of these on the menu.
Of course if you are a tea lover your tea is in these old canisters..
…or these boxes..
….or even these shiny packets!
I hope you enjoyed looking here - if only you could smell it too!!
As for me, I am searching for my Mojo - I want it to come back - I have things I need to do!!
This is all I have managed - a 3 x 3 inch mini journal page, well this and few backgrounds that are nothing like anything I want to use, so all need work on them!!!
Can't even seem to catch up on blogging either….I will try to get to you all soon!
Thanks for looking, Chris
That coffee shop would be something for me. Happy T Day, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThe shop in Kendel is fabulous, it's a shame we don't have smell-a-vision for all the coffee lovers. I love your 3x3inch art work, it reminds me of coffee and happiness! Wishing you a Happy T Day! J :-)
ReplyDeleteThat looks like my kind of shop Chris, must remember it if we ever get across to Kendal. The mini page looks lovely as well.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday.

Your Mojo will return...it's just on vacation :) I can imagine the smell of all of those lovely coffee...ahhhhhh...♥♥♥ I'm behind on all things too so don't feel bad.
ReplyDeleteYou are bringing the UK version of the Spice Merchant to me. I love it. These types of places always have so much charm. I think the scents have a lot to do with it, too.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping your mojo will return soon and maybe I can help with that. Check your e-mail soon.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful tea and coffee shop with us for T this Tuesday. It was a joy to look around it.
What a great shop, wake up and smell the coffee indeed! Love those drawers the coffee is in... could pack some craft supplies in there! Have a good day - loving your mini journal page, hope you finish it soon.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly find some interesting places to visit Chris-love the coffee place with the wonderful machines and jars.
ReplyDeleteNice page to work on as well. Always time to catch-up when you have nothing else of interest to do. That will be never as you do so many interesting things and share them with us.
Love Chrissie xx

Beautiful page Chris, love the doodle style flowers! What an interesting coffee shop, hope it was as tasty as it was fancy! My fav is your shot of the river, how gorgeous is that!! hugs :)
ReplyDeleteI think I could spend hours in that shop. The china alone would keep me looking. Good you could at least do one page in the journal and some background pages. Sometimes I'm just "dry" when it comes to my art.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great place. Love those tea canisters...
ReplyDeleteHappy T day....a day late!
I think your little mini journal page is gorgeous. I like the colors - You know the first rule in art - kiss - keep it simple sugar!
ReplyDeleteLoved your pictures.
