The bears are out …and T stands for trying!!

I have a new entry for the 'If You Go down To The Woods' theme at Art Journal Journey. I have tried to use a combination of my own photos and some elements from Print Shop! Goldilocks can head to their cottage because the Three Bears are out for a picnic!
When I saw these three in Kendal at the Food Festival the other week I knew I would let them go on a picnic!

The weather wasn't very bright on the day we went but at least it wasn't as cold as it had been!
There were lots of stalls set up and we did buy ourselves a few treats!
There was also street entertainment and an area set up indoors for children to have some food related fun

Now, because it's Tuesday it's time to share something drink related with Bleubeard and Elizabeth at the Altered Booklover blog.
While we stood watching a cookery demonstration I mentioned to Hubby we should be thinking about lunch, the man at the side of me who had been asking the chef questions, and seemed to know quite a lot already, butted in and suggested we tried a restaurant called Baba Ganoush - I told him we had tried several years ago and had an awful experience, following a short conversation it seems we had been to the Deli nearby of the same name(same owners) so at his insistence try again we did….WOW! We really enjoyed choosing and I had a bean burger while hubby had a chicken one.
my latte

hubby's cappuccino
When the table next to me emptied I took a quick shot but as it was very crowded didn't manage any more!
We will definitely be going back here as the menu looked yummy and we would both like to try more!

Now…the strange thing…as we paid for the meal I said to hubby that I wish I could see the man and thank him…we left the restaurant and walked up the road and the first person we met was indeed the man, who was delighted that we had enjoyed our meal!!

I will be around to visit shortly, Thanks for looking, Chris

  10. I really enjoyed the bears and had fun reading about where they came from. Great page.

Loved the food and drink. Lattes and cappuccinos are at the top of my list of great coffees to enjoy. The salad and fries looked wonderful, but I'm not so sure about a BEAN burger, although I should try one if I ever found one on a menu in Kansas (BEEF country)!

Thanks for sharing your art AND your wonderful food and drink with us for T this Tuesday. At least it's still Tuesday in my world!

  16. What a great idea to use the bears for wood-picnic (have you already this idea just when making the photo?). And I was very surprised, when I saw the "Linzer Torte" - the cakes on the left side down - I am from Linz! These are "our" cakes! (you can google them).
I also like your birds and the deer hidden!

  20. Fun post Chris and your three bears and that squirrel are really cute.
Babaganoush is a favorite dish of mine, in fact, I just had some yesterday. It is a catchy name for a restaurant.
    The cappuccino sure looks inviting.
Happy middle of the week to you.

and what a coincidence: i hadn´t heard of Baba Ghanoush before tuesday, when we went to an Exhibition with a Restaurant thereby, and one of the dishes we had was... Baba Ghanoush! i totally loved it, as i like tahine and i googled how to make it. but i think it is quite some work with the Treatment of the eggplant...
have a great easter time ahead! xox
