Still back in the 60's!(and T with Elizabeth and Bleubeard)

I enjoyed reminiscing so much for my Try It on Tuesday post last week that I couldn't get it out of my head! It could also be something to do with the fact that hubby has put some 60's tracks on the stick we play in the car - yes folks- we have been singing along!
We had all the bright colours around us yet still we managed to keep the traditional teenage 'cool' look! Twiggy of course was who we wanted to copy, although, as someone mentioned last week, Jean Shrimpton was so beautiful!

I had printed off some images last week so this is a leftover and while looking for a stamp(for another project) found the circles in the Claudine Helmouth set and broke off to make this tag!
I added some Pitt pen to the circles to give them more of an op-art look!
Couldn't resist the Happy Days stamp(a freebie) as Twiggy looks so 'cool'! She did smile a lot too though!!! The photo is mounted on a scrap that I have stamped a starry circle from the same CH set.
I must say Twiggy has had terrific career, modelling, acting, singing and TV presenter and still looks so good now!

The 60's/Retro challenge has another 6 days for you to get your entry in at Try It On Tuesday - hope to see you there!
This was me in the 60's - of course I have changed a bit since then!!(Note the flowers in my hair!)
I'm also joining in with T is for Tuesday
You may remember we went to the Wedgwood Museum last year and had a posh tea….well we also treated ourselves to new mugs..
Here they are on my worktop. Behind them my pan has mixed fruit in it - I forgot to get it out of the freezer last night so I am trying to heat them gently(no microwave!)The yogurt will be mixed with them and some Granola for our breakfast …and we will have our first cup of coffee of the day in our new mugs!

Thanks for looking, Chris

  2. Wow Chris, the 60s must have been colorful, because your tag sure is. And the ribbons compliment the tag colors perfectly.

I am in awe of your mugs. I had to enlarge the photo so I could see them better. They are stunning and would make ANY drink taste better, I'm sure.

Thanks for sharing your tag and your gorgeous mugs with us for T this Tuesday.

  9. Great tag Chris! Twiggy certainly was the face of the 60's.
You got me curious so I did a search for her today and see that she is now a "face" for L'Oreal and is a designer for M&S.
Cute photo of you! I actually had a pair of white go go boots :-) back in the day.
Everything must taste nice in your special mugs.
    Hope you're having a Happy T Day
