Strange lady!!!

Sometimes I go into my craft room and just can't get started on what I went in for…today was one of those occasions! My journal is often a way to get in the "zone". I had a background that I started on Sunday after the day at Dina's workshop - and I found myself drawing a face - why?….I know not…..we didn't even look at any faces at the workshop! All I know is she helped me get on track to the things I had to do before we go away for a few days!
But who is she……..?
A very strange lady in a shower hat!!!
The bigger heart stamps are from a new Finnabair set I bought at AFTH, the small ones drawn - both linked by a bit of doodling!
Wondering…... dare I link this to Brenda's Visual journal at Bumblebees and Butterflies?

Thanks for looking, Chris

  3. She looks rather fun, Chris! It's as if she has a little secret joke! When I did an art doll course with Mary Jane Chadbourne last summer we had to put the faces on our dolls before they would tell us what they wanted us to make of them! Sounds weird, but it really worked! Such amazing things can happen on course and workshops - glad Dina's inspired you. I love her work. xx

  5. Was great to read that you and Sarah both had a fab time at AFTH on Dina's workshop. I am back there 16 May for Stampotique Boutique & may have to purchase some new Stampotique stamps, like you say it would be rude not to lol.

Your drawing is fantastic, she has a lovely smile and a curious look on her face. I struggle to draw faces but practice when able as i do enjoy the activity but not necessarily the results:-) xxx

  6. Dare you? Indeed I would have been disappointed if you hadn't. It's always exciting to see how others are taken from their experiences and inner muse to create pieces of art. I love that you were led to drawing such a sweet lady with a beautiful face. Great job xxxx

  7. There's a lovely freedom to this page - in that, as well as the face, you can see Dina's influence here. Gorgeous combination of stamping and doodling to create interest around your beautiful woman.

  8. What a clever and fun way to get back on track. Wish I had a motivator like that gal to help me at times. I sure enjoyed the fun and free spirited look you gave her, too.
