Bird talk

I needed a card in a hurry….had a few things on my mind lately! I didn't have a clue what to do but then remembered that the challenge at Artful Times this time is 'Birds' - just so happens that I had a pack of unopened stamps - lovely Woodware ones - it seems there are a couple of days before the challenge closes so here is my entry
Using only Distress markers and with the addition of the Paper Artsy sentiment I scribbled markers on my mat - spritzed both water colour paper and mat and ran the paper through. The bird was stamped onto a page of my old college Binnie and Boxall nutrition book and coloured with markers too.
Dabbed the edges of the paper into water and distressed the edges and I have my card - off to post it now!!!

May I just say big Thank You to all who leave such lovely encouraging comments on my blog and welcome my latest followers…your support does make all the difference to me….

Entering in Artful Times Challenge 75  - Birds

Thanks for looking, Chris

  5. This card is fun and adorable. It's not your average over the top piece I'm so used to, and that's what makes it so fun. Like the change of pace AND the way you created the card.

  9. Love this card, Chris - the American Primitive style of the bird is just perfect with those earthy natural colour tones, and the inky effects in the background are fabulous.

  10. That is so cute. He looks as if he is walking with his nose in the air (do birds have noses - I guess they do).
Love the background - DI's are my favourite inks.
Sorry I am so late - not a clue what happened.
Thanks for joining us at Artful Times.
    Hugs, Neet xx
