A Happy New Year! It does seem like ages since I joined in, we were child minding on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve at our caravan meant no connection! A lot has happened since you last saw my desk although not a lot in the region of my desk has been tidied, more of a shoved to one side, as I have a Birthday card to make, shamefully with my good intentions to be organised it is a belated one!
Even more shamefully I am hoping to combine it with a challenge!!
At the moment just a few bits collected together.
We are off to the cinema this afternoon - 'Exodus' - not sure about it myself, having been disappointed with 'Noah', but hubby wants to see it and I must say the trailer looked OK!
An exciting day for me, as you may see later in my next post!
For now, I can hear a couple of coffee cups being stirred so I'll be popping round in a while to peek at your desks, which of course Julia is hosting over at her blog Stamping Ground.
Thanks for looking, Chris
It's another day of juggling for me today....I have Lexi one side of me building with the Knex and Sam is the other side doing jigsaws so I'm popping round some of my favourite blogs while they play happily 😃
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy the film later. I have to say I rather enjoyed Noah. We watched it over Christmas.
Hugs,

Nothing wrong with combining a birthday card with a challenge, LOL! Or shoving things to the side and calling it a tidy up, for that matter! I do it all the time! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa @ InkyDinkyDoodle #27
ReplyDeleteI would say as long as you have a space to create something in..the desk is clean! Happy desk hopping and have fun at the movies :)
ReplyDeleteAt least you have crafting projects on your desk, Chris...mine is just a dumping ground at the moment. I di have to sort stuff out this week, that's my number one priority cos the mess is driving me mad. Just not enough hours in the day at the moment :-) That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it, lol!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the film,
HUgs, LLJ 18 xx
There is nothing shameful in it, you were busy over the holiday period.... like Jan (above) says, there are just not enough hours in a day! Happy New Year and I hope you enjoy the film. Hugs, Anne xx
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy Exodus - Catt says she wants to go with us so ..... we watched Noah last night .... I thought it not very Biblical but a good film, we enjoyed the special affects.
ReplyDeleteLook forward to seeing your finished cards.

Goodness, Chris, your good intentions are truly well founded. I KNOW you will make it, if I have to push and prod you (grin). But of course, I can still see the desk, so there is hope, isn't there?
ReplyDeleteHappy belated New Year and happy WOYWW from # 2.
I love the look of your die cuts, Chris. Nothing wrong with combining projects, no one will know but you. Enjoy the film, what a lovely way to spend the day.

Nothing wrong with designing your card to fit in with a challenge!!! Good luck

I can totally relate to mixing challenges with birthday cards!! Great to see your desk again. Helen 9
ReplyDeleteHi Chris and Happy New Year. Good to see you back. We were childminding New Years Eve and Day during the day) or should say DH did most of it as I was poorly. Hope you enjoyed the film. I've bought aa card today as I am not really ready to start crafting yet and when I do I have to make my Mum's birthday card. Anne x #23
ReplyDeleteHi Chris, everything seems to need doing at the same time. You have no choice but to try and fit things together. Thanks for the visit and happy crafting, Angela x 39
ReplyDeleteI am an expert on the 'shove to the side' cleaning method. It works really well, untill it starts falling off the table that is. H\
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW!

Hope you enjoyed the film. I wanted to see Noah but heard from a friend that it was not that wonderful so and still wondering whether to watch or not. Maybe I will wait until it comes out on TV.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Yer
Hugs, Neet 3 xx
Chris ... hellooooooo!!!! Long time no speak!!!! Thanks for visiting my blog yesterday ... haven't had time to play yet as I can't track down the paints I want but will be rolling up my sleeves just as soon as I get hold of some! Happy New Year and Happy WOYWW'ing to you! Love Debbie x
ReplyDeleteCreating goes first... organizing goes last: now THAT is something I would do! Ha! Hope the film was a nice one and you had a good time! Happy New Year, happy woyww and a hug from Holland, Marit #40
ReplyDeleteSo, I have to ask, what did you think of the movie??? I haven't seen it yet, but hearing that Noah was so woefully bad and non-scriptural, I had little hope for Exodus. The trailers DID look good though! Loving your pretty die cuts and I see you have some Distress Ink out...what's next?? :D
ReplyDeleteHappy Crafting!

Your desk looks busy! Hope you enjoyed the movie. I've been wondering about it as well. I also saw Moses and it was a "movie" and not very factual so I'm leary of Exodus! Hope you enjoyed it!

Looks all ready for a mess to be made. The best state for a desk, so full of the POSSIBLE. And congrats - I'm late so got to peek forward. Love the colours and the stunning tag!
ReplyDeleteHappy First WOYWW of 2015!
Mary Anne (15 - just a lucky coincidence)
Hi Chris, thank you for visiting Betsy and me this week.
ReplyDeleteIt sure does feel good to be back to a semi-normal life again, and most of our desks look very similar this week.
I didn't see "Noah", but have seen the trailer for "Exodus" and am interested in reading your thoughts on it, since I am interested in seeing it.........I think.
Good luck on your challenges and I think it is great if you can combine them with cards you really need.
Happy New Year
Congratulations on being GD! Your tag is beautiful! I love turquoise. I might be tempted to make a tag. But we're going away for two weeks on Monday and I won't be able to craft. One day.....
ReplyDeleteI'll be interested in hearing your 'verdict'on the film. The country we're going to is Holland, where they are civilized and have films in English. I really miss going to the cinema. (I live in Spain where the films are dubbed).
Have a great week,
Lisca#25
Shoved to the side or not, your desk looks ready for crafty moments hope you've finished your card by now, since hopping these blogs is taking so long...happy belated WOYWW!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a busy desk in motion there. Happy New Year to you and thank you for being my latest Follower.
