Last week I made the short drive over to the Trafford Centre to Event city - it was great to meet up with fellow deskers! Lovely to meet Margaret and Christine for the first time as well as Anne, Jo and Mo(who I didn't realise was somebody I have already met several times at the High Legh craft shop!!) Lots of chat but still plenty of time to spend some cash!
So…..
A few stamps, a couple of fancy die sets - at a very reasonable price and some more stencils - half price!! |
So, after a tidy up the stencils are ready to go through the big shot |
Would you like a quick film review - 'Before I go to Sleep' was not as scary as I thought - rather suspect that the book may be more so as the imagination does more than a film interpretation sometimes. Still a rattling good film though! Off to see 'Pride' today, the newspaper reviews have been very favourable and it's got Bill Nighy in it too!
Update - definitely a must see film if you are Welsh or English! I don't think it would be as funny otherwise! Lots of laughing from the rest of the audience as well ourselves! (tears too though!)
I'll do my best to see you later. Thanks for looking, Chris
It was lovely to meet up with you at the craft event too Chris. If I had seen that snowflake stencil I would definitely have bought that - it is gorgeous. In the end I spent very little but hopefully there will be more to tempt me at Port Sunlight! Hugs, Anne x

The Trafford Center, that's in Manchester is it not? I've been there once or twice when we lived in the UK (in Bristol). Lucky you that you can meet up and buy lovely stash. I love those stencils! I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with those...
ReplyDeleteThank you for the film reviews. I shall look out for those (if you are in the habit of doing this.... I'm a newbie on this desk hop). The disadvantage of living abroad is not being able to go to the cinema (at least until you are very conversant in the language) and I miss it. Watching a DVD can't be compared with seeing something on the big screen, and even in 3D.
Thank you for letting me look over your shoulder.

Now it's MY turn to catch up. Both dies and stencils are very, very expensive, so half price is a real bargain in my book. Hope to see what you create with them. And being able to meet up with friends, new and not so new, is priceless. No number since I didn't play this week. Too busy with everything else going on.
ReplyDeleteWow, not just bargains...?BEAUTIFUL bargains! That MB stencil is really gorgeous! a show and tell when you've used it will ya? Jealous that you've had a meet up too!
ReplyDeleteHello Miss Chris, wowzer I love all those goodies you got and can't wait to see what you create with them. I watched the trailer for Pride, love Bill Nighy it looks fantastic, it probably won't play here in Canada I would love to see it, thanks for sharing...
ReplyDeleteThat is so great that you will able to meet fellow WOYWWers! And I like your goodies. Funny, I also just purchased the snowflake stencil and I was about to order the Spellbinders flourishes today but the company was sold out!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! Have a good week. Hugs, Kathy Jo #41
