Time filling!!!
Yesterday my middle son and grandchildren took us to see the second stage of the Tour de France - in Britain! They were due to pick us up at 9.30 but they were running a bit late - we were ready so I used the time in my craft room to cover a new "handbag book" ( I carry one to make lists in, write down web addresses, for my GD to draw in when we wait to be served if we go for a meal and anything else that I feel the need to write down)I buy them from Mujji - 60p each!
I decided to use only scraps and and the set of stamps I had nearest - PA LPC030.
This is what I came up with in the 20 minutes I had from the time they rang

The front |

The back |
Can you see the face on the arch? I made a mistake when stamping with this…
and it went off centre - so I just stamped again further over! I tried to recreate it but as yet not successfully!
I'll be back with photos, but sadly not of the actual cycle race - Hubby took a video - I just enjoyed watching it go past!!
Thanks for looking, Chris
Great way to fill 20 minutes!! I enjoyed watching some of the tour on tv, great scenery!! the crowds were amazing, you did your county proud!
ReplyDeleteIf I had 20 minutes, I would have gotten a few things out, but not covered both the BACK and the FRONT. You are amazing. and I can't tell that the image was off center. IF it is, it just shows it was handmade, not mass produced.
ReplyDeleteAs I mentioned earlier, you live in a gorgeous place. I was totally impressed, especially when they showed the aerial and country views. The towns were so different from anything here in the states. When OUR buildings get old, they get condemned, then torn down, and a new, MODERN building is put in its place. I'm really into history, so that's why I loved your part of England. And I had even heard of many of the town names, especially from "hanging out" with my British friends.
These pages work so brilliantly, Chris - love the stamping, the die-cuts, the composition... just great!
