WOYWW 263

Time to show my desk again at the Stamping Ground, hosted by Julia, who thank goodness, is back home, (hope you are feeling better by the hour Julia!)
What you see on my desk in this close up shot - not deliberate, just happened to be sitting down. I was looking through the pile of (now) dried papers that I did yesterday evening, including the mop-up paper that I think I'm going to use soon!
If you look carefully you will also see some new crackle paste and paint that I bought on Saturday alongside a set of Lindsay Mason's Zendoodle mushrooms. We had a detour on the way to the caravan!! At the back you will see a clear pack of bits and pieces that I keep adding to for my GD's bag.
Now, the news on that front. My son is still not back at work, another week at least! He has had a really bad time of it, most of all because he still doesn't feel able to have GD home yet, although hopefully it will be this weekend as at last he has started to heal.

This however is my craft room, all set for a little visitor!
New cupboard, which of course I can't get in to! The pile of stuff in front is going -soon! Can you also spot the bed - yes that's it under the black cover, (that cover is going too, but it came with the bed!!) On top is the treat my hubby bought me (using some Nectar points to help out), my own music system, and bless him, he has made  a stick with my own choice of music on it! No more quiet crafting for me!

Finally, a confession, you know those ATCs that I was sure were in the post, I found them yesterday in my shopping bag! I don't use it very often and had put them in intending to post them on our cinema trip, then didn't use the bag! Hubby saw it and hung it up in the cupboard!! They will be on their way today so huge apologies if you thought I had forgotten you!

Thanks for looking, Chris

  5. Another week when I didn't get round to desk hopping! Oh dear! We've been busy taking Mum to the Dentist and to be assessed by the Occupational Therapist, then updating her accounts at the building society and we're sorting her out a new bathroom, Time just dissolves. I do love nice papers - and your very own music system so you can craft harmoniously: lucky you! I'm always thinking I've posted things only to find them in a bag or basket I haven't used for a while! I'm so glad I'm not the only one! Julie Ann xxx

  10. Now then, if I hear reports on the news about loud music coming from a crafters room, I know it'll be you! I often listen to BBCiplayer when I'm crafting, especially music programmes that are on late at night :-)
Fingers crossed your son will be fighting fit soon,
    Hugs, LLJ 29 xx

  11. You can never have too much crackle paste... and those mop up papers look beautiful - can't wait to see them in action. So sorry to hear that your son's not yet back up and running. How lucky he is to have you around to help...

Enjoy your musical crafting - it's a great source of inspiration, I find. And I'm sure it's a case of better late than never with the ATCs - oops!

  14. Love all your backgrounds papers and those stencils are wonderful I am so envious. Lucky you having the room and setting it up and hubby looking after you with entertainment your style, now that is a big bonus having music to craft too. You made me laugh about the ATC story, I had a card on the console of my car and it has done over 700 kms of travelling before it got posted, it just didn't jump into the mail box on the way past many times.

    Belated WOYWW Greetings.

  15. I would never dare show my desk in public! I think you are so right about never arguing with your mother ;-)

I just wanted to warn you that Madeline won't be up on my blog just yet, nor in exactly that incarnation, but I do hope you will enjoy it when it finally comes.....
