We're in!

Hurray, we made it at last. We finally got a call while we were away on holiday - just as we arrived at Stonehenge! After a five days of furious packing(and throwing away lots more he! he!)we have finally moved into our flat!
These lovely guys had us moved in less than four hours(!!!!!) and not a moan from any of them when I asked if just one more thing might fit - I changed my mind about sending it to the charity shop!!Not only that - they carried my tall set of drawers with my stamps and papers up to our first floor flat without a turn of a hair - and I know how much there was in it!!Great job lads!!

Not that we've had much time to unpack, with a wedding, a birthday party and a trip away to our caravan with two of my sons and three grandchildren .....well we were nearly half way there from the party!

We're now back - refreshed and ready to make a proper start. I am so looking forward to getting in my new craft room, although not sure that's what it's going to be called!

As you can imagine, I haven't had much time of late for creating anything apart from some backgrounds - using ink mop ups from my labelling and a little bit of zentangling - no photos unfortunately but I will be here again shortly with my calendar journal pages!
I'll just leave you with this photo of my lovely hydrangea in our garden at the caravan - I thought the frost had killed it off but the flowers this year are the best ever!
Thanks for looking, off to unpack more boxes!! Chris

August and still waiting!!!

Soooo....another month flies by and we are still waiting on our buyer's solicitor. We are practically in our flat, spending our days here, doing little jobs that we thought we would do after we moved in(a plus?)The phone is here so I'm reduced to using my mobile phone at home - no long evening chats:( The computer is here and worst of all most of my crafting stuff is here(in boxes) waiting for shelves to go up(maybe tomorrow) However I have kept up with my 366/12 calendar journal (want to know more?) see Kate's blog here
Using what I could find here is my August page
Using my NeocoloursII and Lindsay Mason's 'I dreamed of Castles' and 'Hoist the Flags' sets from my "to go" journal bag that I take away with me to the caravan and an old road map I have set the scene for a break we are taking this month with our grandchildren......a little bit of sea and scenery, and castles!
Here is my completed July page - a mixture of emotions throughout the month as you can see!
Hope to be back to normal soon. Thanks for looking, Chris
